We understand that everyone is looking forward to Ubisoft’s upcoming blockbuster game. And you should be, since based on our first impressions, it looks and feels fantastic.

And, as much as we hate to bust your bubble, you may not be able to fully appreciate the amazing visuals unless you have the required gear.

Far Cry 6 on PCs need GPUs with at least 11-12GB VRAM to handle the high-resolution textures.

The HD Texture Pack in Far Cry 6 needs 11GB of VRAM.

Even the most powerful NVIDIA graphics cards, such as the GeForce RTX 2080, will struggle to load Far Cry 6’s 35GB HD Texture Pack.

To add to the irony, NVIDIA’s high-end graphics card only has 10GB of VRAM, which is one GB less than what is needed to run the new game.

The fact that the RTX 3080’s compression methods aren’t nearly up to the job of executing the property is also significant.

The RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3090, and RTX 3060 are recommended cards for running these high-end graphics since their VRAM capacity matches the minimum requirements.

On the majority of CPUs and graphics cards, the game works well. When the massive HD Texture Pack is activated, though, the difference will be obvious.

Anyone with a graphics card with 11GB or more VRAM should disable the HD Texture Pack for now in order to play the game without difficulty.

In Far Cry 6, how can I minimize stuttering?

Of course, there are a number of methods to prevent the unpleasant delays produced by FPS drops, as well as other problems.

One option is to lower the graphical settings in Far Cry 6. This move would free up some GPU space, enabling the game’s frame rate to increase.

Also, keep in mind that when playing a high-graphics game, you should attempt to close any background running applications. Some of the unnecessary applications may be depleting your system’s resources, preventing the game from running at its best.

If you recall, we previously said that Far Cry 6 does not support ray-tracing on Xbox One X/S or PlayStation 5.
